Music Ministry

This ministry’s aims for the years to come is to relay the alter and instill the fear of God in us enabling us to become worshippers. The ministry also aims to improve our spiritual responsibility through training and development.

Vision

The overall vision of the choir is directly connected to the vision of the church and these include:

1. To continue to be a people in his presence.
2. To enhance the quality of our spiritual lives by:
   • Offering true worship to God through music. It is essential for the members of the Music ministry to be true worshippers before this goal can be achieved.
   • Leading the congregation in corporate worship to God during services; and
   • Ensuring that each member corporately and individually reflect God’s standard of purity and holiness.

Evangelism Ministry

During 2008, the Evangelism Team in Redemption Parish experienced a genuine re-awakening. An external evangelist and facilitator has been working with the parish. This great team has been put in place along with a comprehensive HOUSE-TO-HOUSE EVANGELISM training programme enabling practical house-to-house evangelism to be undertaken within the immediate vicinity of the church.

The ministry continuously undertakes training in street evangelism and also plans to hold major open air outreach programmes. Our vision includes dropping at least a Christian tract through every door in the borough in one calendar year.

Children’s Ministry aka CHIP’S (Children In His Presence)

A place where children are taught Christian living using concepts they can understand. It is a bridge
builder, preparing them for congregational worship. The children are taught and equipped for a fulfilled
Christian life using appropriate activities, experiences, praise, worship, biblical instructions and prayer.

This ministry is targeted at children aged 2-12 years old who are eager to learn, willing to praise and pray and most importantly ready to have fun. All teachers are CRB checked.

Challengers Ministry

Challengers are a youth ministry born out of RCCG Redemption Parish with a mission to build up a generation of Kingdom Leaders. Challengers is an ever-expanding group of young people aged between 13-20 with confidence and ambition, aspiring to the Kingdom of God on Earth and trying to challenge the next generation.

They believe that throughout life we are all faced with challenges which can either make or break us. However they are here to speak a word of hope. They believe that by coming together we can all overcome such challenges, stand up as leaders and push the Kingdom of God forward.

By being a leading example and stepping out in faith they believe they can pave the way for a stronger future generation of leaders. They live free and without fear, enabling them to discover their destiny both individually and as a group.

• Building themselves: growing spirituality and in numbers (the ultimate aim).
• Engaging in various types of innovative Evangelism.
• Enhancing the body of Christ.
• Inspiring successful leaders in society and making positive impact in the nation through prayer and other means suitable with the help of the church.
• Ministering to the social challenges and spiritual needs of the youth.
• To establish a prosperous youth church.
• Raising the profile of the Christian faith in society.

Intercessory Ministry

The intercessory team is dedicated to praying for the members, the leaders both in the local church, the RCCG and the nation amongst others prayer needs. They intercede for the church, its members, the local community and the nation as a whole.

Follow up and Counselling Ministry

The main responsibility of the follow-up ministry is to minister to newcomers as well as new converts and ensure they have a satisfactory beginning in the church. This would involve encouraging such to partake in the believers’ or converts’ class to help them with the basics they require to start the journey and carry on in the faith. The department team are dedicated to seeing to the spiritual welfare of regular members who have been absent from church or who need encouragement and demonstrate the love of Christ through praying and visitation.

The counselling team is a team dedicated to encourage the church / members that require the service through their special calling/anointing or experience in certain areas e.g. singles, marriage.
